I just ate here Friday evening, and the food was delicious! The sourdough bread was warm, and this carrot dressing they give you to put on it is delicious. I ordered the seared scallops, and it was good. I even got a chance to try the steak (stole a little piece from my friend), and that was delicious too; very tender. I'm not even a big steak fan!
We sat inside, and the decor is very nice, but sitting outside would have been cooler on a nice warm evening. The patio has a good view of the Bellagio watershow, but I'm still not disappointed.
I gave it 4 stars because although the service was fine, our waiter could have been friendlier. I think it was cause we were young!

Came here with two other friends, and we ordered the Nachos, Enchilada, and the Quesadilla. All 3 for about $17-18. Pretty good deal for large portion entrees.
The quesadilla was my favorite although I could be a bit bias because I love quesadillas! I still love La Vic's quesadillas back in San Jose though.
I think it's worth the trip if you want some nicely presented Mexican food in a cozy little decored restaurant.

When I was going to SJSU, this place rocked. The pizza was delicious although the service was a bit slow. The calamari and combo pizza was the best I've had in a while!
I went here again two years ago, and it just sucked. The pizza was cold, tasteless, and thin. None of that stringy cheese anymore on my pizza. Poo.
I went here over the 4th of July, and we ordered a medium chicken, olive, and artichoke pizza. It was delicious, and between the 4 of us, I only had to pay 7.50 (including my root beer). Pretty sweet deal! :)

I went here for lunch with my coworkers, and it's a pretty neat place where you can pretty much create your own sandwiches (you can pick the bread, meat, side dish etc) and salads (you can pick 7 ingredients); I would figure it's pretty nerve-wrecking if you're an indecisive a-hole though or if you're wishy-washy like half the guys I know. :) Ha.
The portions are HUGE. The sandwich I ordered was pretty dry . . . some chicken teriyaki, but the salads my coworkers got were bigger than my head (and I do have a pretty big head too . . . literally). The side dish of onion rings was huge too; I couldn't finish it. Next time I'll have to try the salads. And oh yeah, prices are not steep at all!

Philippe the Original Restaurant
Category: Sandwiches
Neighborhood: Chinatown
Due to last minute changes, my friends and I ended up having our lunch get-together at Philippe's! What the hell is that, might I ask? I guess I'll have to go and figure it out!
During lunch hour on a weekend, the lines are ridiculously long, but lucky there are several lines and service is quick! Woot. Restaurant is also pretty big too; I would go into how long the wait to grab a table was, but too bad for me (hardy har har) I didn't do the waiting . . . my friends did. :)
I got the Roast Beef French Dip sandwich and the potatoe salad. I enjoyed both, but I also wish I got to dip my own French Dip!! I like it juicy baby. Oh well. Poo. Still for the price (pretty affordable), this is a winner.
A few days later, I saw it featured on $40 a Day (You know, Rachael Ray's show), and I was so excited! I'm easily pleased, okay!

Hash House A Go Go
Categories: Diners, Breakfast & Brunch
Neighborhood: Hillcrest
I had lunch at the Hash House during my short stay in San Diego because many friends had recommended this place; I had to try it for myself!
The menu is quite extensive and the portions are large. You seriously should share an entree with someone unless you can eat a crapload. I ended up dumping half of mine because I was so full! Darn. What a waste.
I ordered the Roasted Chicken, garlic, onions, asparagus and rosemary Hash House which was delicious, but it wasn't as delicious as what my friend ordered . . . the Mushroom, artichoke hearts, sundried tomato and fresh spinach. Damn her for ordering a dish better than mine! *shakes fist*
The service is great, and the prices are a bit steep though (about $10-14 for breakfast dishes, I believe . . . but remember, I suggest sharing). I just wish they had one in San Jose!

Gochi Japanese Fusion Tapas
Category: Japanese
My girl friends and I went here for dinner Friday, and it was delicious!
It's located in a tiny shopping center, and you'd never think this gem is located here. The decor outside is mediocre, but once you step inside, it's quite authentic with the japanese screens, floor seating (be sure to wear nice socks and no stinky feet please or else you'll make the other customers lose their appetite!), and it has a few tables.
We ordered the rice clay pot which was absolutely tasty. And the tofu with shrimp, although the portion was tiny, was mouth watering. :) I highly recommend those two entrees. We finished our dinner with a green tea cream brulee which was good, but not fab. Each dish was about $8-20.
Also, the service is excellent. The waitress was real friendly and they kept checking up to see if we needed more water or what not.
I highly recommend this place, and I'm definitely going back here! Oh yeah, be sure to make reservations because this place gets packed fast.

Before I tried this restaurant, I absolutely did not like Indian food at all, but that may be because i haven't had any good Indian food.
Amber has definitely changed my perspective on Indian food. It's delicious, but a bit on the pricey end for Indian food. I had the samosas and the butter chicken, and I can't get enough of them. So good.
Service is great too. Friendly staff. My water was never left half empty!

Delicious! Absolutely best nachos (doesn't get soft from the melted cheese) and pescado taco i've ever had in my life.

And you know what? It's worth being a bit unproductive because I've met many great people on here via the site. :) It's such a friendly community, and I'm not just saying this because I'm one of the founders . . . but it really is!
I'm grateful for all the friends I've made on this site and, of course, will be making as newcomers come in, and Bunchedup.tv wouldn't be what it is today without our bunchkins! So thanks guys! :)
